Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Produce comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligning with project requirements and client expectations.
- Create and maintain Revit models for mechanical systems, ensuring accurate, piping, plumbing, exhaust, and associated mechanical components within the building information model.
- Utilize Revit to produce construction documents, mechanical plans, equipment schedules, and system diagrams that meet project requirements and client standards.
- Participate in BIM coordination efforts, including multi-discipline clash detection and resolution using tools such as Navisworks, collaborating with Electrical, Structural, Architectural, and other discipline teams to ensure design integrity.
- Maintain BIM model quality and consistency by adhering to project BIM execution plans, company Revit standards, and established modeling best practices.
- Lead the creation, refinement, and finalization of designs encompassing industrial and domestic piping, plumbing, HVAC ducting, chillers, boilers, exhaust systems, motor control, process chemicals, fire protection, and potentially other mechanical building systems.
- Apply established design techniques, exercising judgment to adapt and modify design concepts while ensuring compliance with company and team Revit and CAD standards for quality control.
- Collaborate closely with design teams, Engineers, Project Managers, and stakeholders to address specific objectives, complex features, and propose viable solutions to unique challenges.
- Facilitate seamless coordination among various design disciplines (Electrical, Structural, Process/Chemical, Architectural, etc.) to fulfill design package requirements.
Work timings Morning 08.00am to 12noon IST and evening 08.00pm to 12:00am IST.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field is required. Additional certifications or coursework in BIM/Revit is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Revit is required, with experience in mechanical modeling, documentation, and BIM coordination workflows.
- Required 3+ yrs of experience with BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks for clash detection and multi-discipline coordination is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred. Experience with other tools such as PIPE-FLO or other similar mechanical analysis tools is a plus.

- Strong communication skills enabling effective collaboration and clear client interaction during design reviews and RFIs.
- The ability to communicate digitally, verbally and in writing with local and international team members - fluency in English is required.
- Should be flexible to work in the evening hours to maintain the communication with the USA teams.
