Job Description
Position Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day management of DOMO Real Estate's accounting and finance functions. The role covers maintenance of books of accounts, preparation of accounts up to finalization, statutory compliance, audit coordination, and financial reporting ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full adherence to applicable accounting standards and internal controls.
Role & responsibilities
A. Books of Accounts
• Record all daily transactions in Tally / accounting software accurately • Maintain ledgers, journal entries, cash book, and bank book • Post vendor invoices, expense vouchers, and client receipts on the same day • Ensure all entries are supported by valid documentation
B. Receivables & Payables
- Track and follow up on outstanding receivables (commissions, brokerages, fees) • Process vendor payments after due verification and approvals • Maintain ageing reports for receivables and payables • Reconcile accounts of developers, vendors, and channel partners regularly.
C. Bank & Cash Management
- Perform daily bank reconciliations across all company accounts • Manage petty cash with proper vouchers and approvals • Track cheque issuance, deposits, and clearing status • Coordinate with banks for routine operational matters
D. Statutory Compliance
- GST: Maintain input/output records and support GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B filings • TDS: Ensure correct deduction, timely deposit, and quarterly return data preparation • PF / ESIC / Professional Tax: Coordinate with consultants for monthly compliance • Income Tax: Support advance tax computations and filings • Maintain a compliance calendar and ensure zero delays
E. Documentation & Filing
- Maintain organized filing of invoices, vouchers, agreements, and bank statements (physical + digital) • Ensure all financial records are audit-ready at all times • Maintain confidentiality of all company financial data
F. Reporting
- Prepare daily cash position and weekly cash flow statements • Generate MIS reports as required by the Director • Support preparation of monthly Trial Balance, P&L, and Balance Sheet • Track project-wise revenue, brokerage payouts, and team-wise commission reports
G. Audit & Finalization Support
• Coordinate with statutory auditors during audits • Provide schedules, vouchers, and supporting documentation as required • Support year-end finalization of accounts up to Balance Sheet stage
H. Internal Controls
- Ensure all expenses are processed as per the company's authorization matrix • Flag any discrepancies, anomalies, or compliance risks to the Director immediately • Adhere strictly to internal SOPs for payments, approvals, and record-keeping
Skills & Attributes
- Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime and MS Excel
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax provisions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Integrity, confidentiality, and dependability
- Good communication and coordination skills
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• 100% accuracy in books of accounts
• Zero delay in statutory filings (GST, TDS, PF/ESIC, IT)
• Daily bank reconciliation completion
• 100% adherence to Daily POA & Work Completion reporting protocol
• Timely submission of MIS and management reports
• Audit observations: nil to minimal
• Adherence to internal controls and approval matrix
