Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Market Analysis & Forecasting via Technical Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth technical & derivative analysis across various Equity Cash & derivatives (F&O) segment & consistently generate profitable trading calls across various segments (Equity & F&O)
• Conduct in-depth technical analysis using charting software and a wide range of technical indicators and charting patterns to identify high-probability trading setups
• Maintain a high accuracy rate for both intraday and positional trading recommendations
• Forecast short-term and medium-term market movements for major indices, sectors, and individual stocks

Derivatives:

• Be able to Identify-analyze live derivative data to generate intra-day as well as positional Index Option Trading recommendations and Option strategies with Payoff construction
• Be able to Formulate trading ideas (Future, Option, Pair Trades) based on derivatives data

Research & Reporting:

• Generate and publish daily, weekly, and special technical research reports with clear, concise, and actionable recommendations
• Prepare and deliver presentations to internal teams and clients, explaining the rationale behind trading calls and market views
• Contribute to the firms research portal and client communication channels with timely market commentary and updates

Strategy & Risk Management:

• Develop and back test trading strategies based on technical analysis
• Incorporate robust risk management principles, including defining clear entry points, stop-loss levels, and profit targets for all recommendations
• Actively monitor open positions and provide real-time updates and adjustments in response to market volatility

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as a subject matter expert, addressing client queries related to technical market trends and specific trading calls
• Conduct webinars, seminars, and training sessions for clients to enhance their understanding of technical / derivative analysis and market dynamics
• Collaborate with sales and advisory teams to provide them with the necessary insights and support to serve clients effectively

Key Competencies:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in a variety of technical analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Falcon, Spider, Trading View, Meta Stock, Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv)
• Strong knowledge of technical indicators (e.g., RSI, MACD, Moving Averages, Bollinger Bands), charting patterns (e.g., Head & Shoulders, Flags), and advanced methodologies (e.g., Elliott Wave Theory, Fibonacci Retracements)
• Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization. Knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages for back testing and algo development is a plus

Derivative Skills:

• Have rich knowledge in option pricing, Option Greeks and hedging strategies with understanding of trade economics, pay-off profiles, and pricing factors
• Have knowledge in conducting Open Interest Analysis, FII Derivate Data Analysis, Rollover Analysis, Hedging Strategies and implementing the same in option strategies for favorable risk/reward gains

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to a diverse audience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
