SAP BW-IP (Integrated Planning) Consultant

Experience: 5 to 12 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP BW-IP (Integrated Planning) Consultant with strong expertise in SAP BW, BW on HANA, SAP BI-IP, BPC integration, planning models, reporting, and analytics. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise planning and forecasting solutions using SAP BW Integrated Planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement planning applications using SAP BW-IP.
• Develop planning models, aggregation levels, filters, planning functions, and planning sequences.
• Create data models including InfoObjects, InfoProviders, ADSOs, Composite Providers, and Queries.
• Build forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning solutions.
• Gather business requirements and conduct fit-gap analysis with stakeholders.
• Develop BEx Queries, Analysis for Office reports, and planning templates.
• Support month-end, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.
• Perform data loading, transformation, and reconciliation activities.
• Optimize BW-IP performance and troubleshoot planning-related issues.
• Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Planning teams.
• Provide production support, enhancements, and change management activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and knowledge-transfer sessions.

Required Technical Skills

Must Have

• 5-10 years of SAP BW/BI experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP BW-IP (Integrated Planning).
• Expertise in:
• Aggregation Levels
• Planning Functions
• Planning Sequences
• Filters
• Characteristic Relationships
• Data Slices
• SAP BW 7.5 / BW on HANA experience.
• BEx Query Designer and Analysis for Office.
• ABAP for BW enhancements and planning exits.
• Data Modeling using ADSO, Composite Provider, InfoObjects.
• Process Chains and Data Loading Framework.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
