Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and psychological conditions.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition.
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Ensure infection prevention and control practices are followed.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide basic life support when required.
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care.
- Ensure patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Supervise and guide nursing assistants or junior staff, when assigned
Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council/Indian Nursing Council
