Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Veritas NetBackup Administrator L2 with strong expertise in enterprise backup administration, implementation, troubleshooting, and support activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup environments, backup policies, disaster recovery, and backup infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and support Veritas NetBackup environments.
Configure and manage Master Servers, Media Servers, and NetBackup Appliances.
Manage backup policies, schedules, retention policies, and storage units.
Troubleshoot backup and restore failures across enterprise environments.
Analyze logs such as bptm, bpbrm, and bpdbm for root cause analysis.
Configure and manage MSDP pools, tape libraries, and backup storage.
Support backup and recovery operations for Windows, Linux, Unix, SQL Server, and Oracle environments.
Perform disaster recovery activities including replication, vaulting, and recovery testing.
Generate reports using OpsCenter and IT Analytics.
Perform backup performance tuning and capacity planning.
Provide L2 support for incidents, service requests, and change activities.
Participate in 24x7 operational support and on-call rotations.
