Job Summary

Cars24 is looking for an Evaluation Engineer in Pune who will be responsible for conducting detailed vehicle inspections, assessing vehicle condition, and ensuring accurate documentation as per company standards. The role requires strong technical understanding of automobiles, attention to detail, and the ability to work in field operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive on-site vehicle inspections and evaluations as per Cars24 guidelines.
• Assess mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic condition of vehicles and identify defects or damages.
• Capture high-quality images and data of vehicles using digital inspection tools and mobile applications.
• Prepare accurate and detailed inspection reports within defined timelines.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and process standards during evaluations.
• Coordinate with operations, logistics, and pricing teams for smooth vehicle processing.
• Maintain professionalism while interacting with customers, dealers, and internal stakeholders.

Skills & Requirements

• ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, components, and diagnostics.
• Hands-on knowledge of multi-brand cars and common faults.
• Ability to work in field conditions and across different locations within Pune.
• Comfortable using smartphones, apps, and digital reporting tools.
• Good observation skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
• Basic communication skills in English and local language.
• Valid Two-Wheeler and Four-Wheeler Driving Licence (Mandatory).
• Should know how to drive both two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles.
• Must own a two-wheeler for field operations.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience or internship in automobile service centers, workshops, or inspection roles.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle valuation and market trends.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts if required.
