Purpose of the Job The Designer Textile will be responsible for developing themes and concepts using inspiration & prints/textile in vogue and deliver to high standards for creative work. Key Result Areas for the Incumbent Process Responsibilities Research on new trends and make recommendations for enhancements Responsible for making Mood Boards Assists in creating and designing textile prints/waves Responsible for designing print layouts for production Continuously identify opportunities of improvement in the Design process People Management Responsibilities Coordinates with sampling runner for the Sampling Yardages Coordinates with the mills in case there is of requirements Financial Responsibilities NA Key Behavioral competencies required to perform this role - Essential 1. Collaboration and team work Key Technical competencies required to perform this role - Essential 1. Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator 2. Able to differentiate between Digital print making and Rotary print making - Desirable 1. Works primarily independently and handles issues of high complexity Key Performance Indicators 1. Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment 2. Ability to design and create original artwork, prints and patterns based on the instruction provided by the management 3. Strong design and conceptual skills The candidate would have to interact and manage the following stakeholders NA In order to be considered for the role the ideal candidate should have: Strong design and conceptual skills Exceptional computer knowledge including Illustrator, Photoshop Thorough knowledge of printing techniques Open/Receptive Ability to remain flexible to change within the work environment and scope of responsibility.
