Techno Marketing Manager For Reinsurance For Energy & Power Sector

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with insurers, brokers, reinsurers, EPC contractors and the Energy & Power sector.

Identify new business prospects and help sales team to close leads across thermal, hydro, renewable, transmission, and distribution projects.
Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to clients and stakeholders.

Technical Evaluation & Risk Assessment

Analyze and assess risks associated with power plants, renewable energy projects, transmission lines, substations, and other energy assets.
Review engineering reports, feasibility studies, risk surveys, and loss history.
Support underwriting teams by providing technical inputs for risk acceptance and pricing.
Coordinate site visits and risk inspections where required.

Reinsurance Placement & Account Management

Prepare underwriting submissions and placement documentation for domestic and international reinsurers.
Negotiate reinsurance terms, conditions, capacity, and pricing.
Manage treaty and facultative reinsurance placements related to energy and power risks.
Maintain ongoing communication with reinsurers and brokers regarding portfolio performance.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

Monitor market trends, emerging risks, regulatory changes, and reinsurance capacity within the energy sector.
Conduct competitor analysis and develop strategies for business growth.
Support product development and innovative risk transfer solutions.

Client Relationship Management

Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive service and technical support.
Assist clients during claims discussions and major loss events when required.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Power, Energy, Instrumentation, or related discipline).
MBA in Marketing, Insurance, Risk Management, or equivalent qualification preferred.
Professional certifications in Insurance/Reinsurance (III, CII, ACII, etc.) will be an added advantage.
