Role & responsibilities

Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Service & Experience

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
  
• Present menus, explain menu items, specials, and promotions.
  
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen/bar.
  
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining service etiquette.
  
• Check on guests during service to ensure satisfaction and address requests.
  

2. Order Handling & Billing

• Ensure correct order delivery as per guest request and standards.
  
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
  
• Prepare and present bills accurately and process payments as per procedure.
  
• Handle cash and POS systems responsibly.
  

3. Table & Area Management

• Set up tables according to service standards before service.
  
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas.
  
• Clear tables promptly and reset for the next guests.
  
• Ensure proper mise-en-place at all times.
  

4. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards strictly.
  
• Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards.
  
• Adhere to health, safety, and company policies.
  
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to supervisors.
  

5. Team Coordination & Support

• Work closely with fellow stewards, supervisors, and kitchen staff.
  
• Attend daily briefings and training sessions.
  
• Assist teammates during peak hours to ensure smooth service.
  
• Follow instructions from supervisors and management.
  

6. Upselling & Brand Representation

• Promote menu items, specials, and add-ons to enhance guest experience and sales.
  
• Represent the restaurant brand positively through professional behavior.
  
• Encourage repeat visits by delivering consistent service quality.
