Role & responsibilities

Lead the state-level non-litigation legal function for secured lending products such as LAP, Home Loans, SME, and Mortgage-backed lending.
Review and approve Title Search Reports (TSR), legal opinions, and property-related due diligence reports.
Conduct and supervise title verification to establish clear, marketable, and enforceable ownership of properties offered as collateral.
Manage drafting, vetting, and execution of legal documentation, including loan agreements, sanction-related documents, declarations, indemnities, guarantees, and security creation documents.
Ensure proper mortgage creation, perfection, and charge registration in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
Identify legal risks in property and lending transactions and provide practical risk-mitigation solutions.
Liaise with empaneled advocates, legal vendors, registrars, and regulatory authorities for legal due diligence and documentation requirements.
Support Credit and Business teams in structuring transactions from a legal and risk perspective.
