Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Engineer / Assistant Manager - Design with strong expertise in mechanical design and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting production, improving manufacturing processes, and driving quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide design support by reviewing component designs, engineering drawings, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Oversee powder coating operations, including surface preparation, application processes, and quality control.
• Optimize CNC VMC machining operations by improving tooling, cycle times, and machining efficiency.
• Monitor and manage hot forming and heat treatment processes to ensure compliance with material and performance specifications.
• Supervise spinning operations for cylindrical components and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce rejections, and optimize manufacturing costs.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
• Support new product development, production trials, and process validation activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience in:
  • Powder Coating
  • CNC VMC Machining
  • Hot Forming
  • Heat Treatment
  • Spinning Processes
• Ability to read, interpret, and work with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience in process optimization, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices will be an added advantage.
• Self-driven, result-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
