Sr. Associate Fund Accounting (Depositary Services)

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Associate Depositary Services and Supporting Vistra Luxembourg Depositary Function based in our Vistra International Expansion (India) Private Limited. reporting to the Manager this full-time and permanent position is based in Indore/ Mumbai, India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our GSC operations department and its growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform operational support activities relating to depositary processes and workflows
• Assist with reconciliations, data validation, and workflow monitoring
• Prepare operational reports and management information for Luxembourg teams
• Maintain accurate records, documentation and audit trails
• Track exceptions and escalate operational issues, discrepancies and data quality concerns in line with procedures
• Perform transaction processing and booking in the depositary tool based on validated instructions and predefined procedures
• Record asset movement information in line with approved operational processes
• Support reconciliation of booked transactions and related supporting records
• Identify and report booking discrepancies, unmatched items and operational inconsistencies for Luxembourg review
• Support settlement lifecycle processing and related follow-up activities
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of operational records and documentation
• Provide administrative support relating to recordkeeping and ownership verification processes performed under Luxembourg oversight
• Assist in the preparation and reporting of potential investment restriction exceptions for review by Luxembourg teams
• Prepare supporting documentation and control evidence for Luxembourg teams
• Support KPI/KRI reporting and preparation of management information for Luxembourg governance purposes
• Operate in accordance with outsourcing procedures, internal policies and governance standards
• Comply with confidentiality, data protection and operational resilience requirements
• Support internal and external audits and oversight review activities

Key requirements

• Ready to work in a European time-zone environment.
• Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related discipline with 2-5 years of experience in fund administration, fund accounting or financial services operations
• Experience supporting Luxembourg or European fund structures is preferred
• Exposure to alternative investment funds is considered an advantage but is not mandatory
• Understanding of fund servicing, securities operations or investment operations environments
• Experience with transaction processing, reconciliations and operational support activities
• Familiarity with outsourced operating models and control frameworks
• Strong reporting and documentation capabilities
• Proficiency with fund accounting, custody, reconciliation or operational processing platforms
• Good communication and adaptation skills
