Site Supervisor Crane Rental Division

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations for crane hiring, ensuring safe and uninterrupted execution.
Handle all site documentation gate-passes, work permits, statutory compliances, and client records.
Supervise all loading/unloading and lifting activities, ensuring lift plans and load charts (SWL) are followed.
Ensure 100% deployment and output of hired equipment; maintain accurate daily log-sheets and machine hour records.
Enforce crane-specific safety controls: barricading/exclusion zones, ground-bearing checks, rigging and signalling standards, and wind-speed/weather limits.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Assess operational risks and implement preventive measures; report and investigate near-misses and incidents.
Ensure materials, fuel, and resources are used efficiently and wastage is minimized.
Resolve technical and breakdown issues with the project and maintenance teams; advise on improvements.
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities for smooth, dispute-free project execution.

Skills & Competencies

Strong site discipline, documentation, and reporting rigour.
HSE awareness; ability to enforce safety without diluting output.
Coordination and client-handling under pressure.
Basic digital literacy (log-sheets, reporting apps, MS Office/WhatsApp-based reporting)

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Mechanical or Civil discipline (or equivalent site experience).
3-7 years in heavy equipment / crane rental site supervision.
Experience in Wind Farm, Cement, Steel, or Power Plant projects strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of crane operations, load charts, and lifting safety is essential.

Location

Pan-India (site-based; willing to relocate to project sites anywhere in India)
