Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (SQA)

The Opportunity:

We are looking 4 to 6 years experience professionals for a Senior Quality Assurance (SQA) engineer to deliver a quality product. QA engineer responsibilities include identifying, designing, and implementing test cases, debugging, and defining corrective actions by manual and automation test. You will also review the system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts.) The SQA engineer role plays an important part in our company s product development process and documentation. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests and prepare respective documents before product launches to ensure software application runs smoothly and meets client needs while being cost-effective. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we d like to meet you. Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Proactive and timely communication with the team.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Identify the resource and estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop documents as test required and execute automation scripts.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs and effectively follow up for Defects, Backlog Task etc. till closure.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Work collaboratively with testers, developers, and stakeholders.
• Manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
• Create understanding documents, Detailed or High-level Test case scenario documents, Minutes of Meetings, and other documents to support or QA Operations.
• Create and Execute Test plan to ensure Software product design specification as per Standards.
• Constant involvement needed with the dev team to improve product quality.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes (STLC) and experience increasing test cases, test scenarios, requirement documents, and other documents which are required from time to time for projects and to manage QA Operations.

• Must have 2 year s hands on experience in automation scripting with any language (Preferred lang: Java, JavaScript).
• Must have experience in leading the project and STLC documentation process.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Should have a minimum of 1year experience in testing SQL Queries.
• Should have experience of using configuring Jira, Git Hub, any test management tools.
• Should have experience in Selenium with any Framework.
• Should have the ability to learn any new framework with a specified time frame.
• Should be Self-motivated and Self Driven.
• Should understand deliveries and can adapt to the changing requirements.
• Should be good if some idea about Linux OS.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Should have knowledge about performance and/or security testing is a plus.
• Good if can lead software testing projects/modules.
• Good if can take initiatives to work on new testing frameworks or POC requirements.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Excellent communication skills to handle any issue, requirement discussion.
• Able to manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
