Senior QA & RMS Operations

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior QA & RMS Operations professional with 3-5 years of experience in Capital Markets, Trading Technology, Risk Management Systems (RMS), and Quality Assurance.

The candidate will be responsible for supporting and monitoring RMS operations, performing functional and regression testing, coordinating production releases, investigating incidents, and ensuring the stability and quality of RMS and related trading applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, troubleshooting, testing, and incident-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with Development, Product, Infrastructure, Operations, and Client Support teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. RMS Operations & Production Support

• Monitor day-to-day RMS operations to ensure system availability, stability, and smooth functioning.
• Support RMS deployments, configuration changes, releases, and production activities.
• Monitor production systems and proactively identify operational issues.
• Handle production incidents and coordinate with Technology, Infrastructure, and Development teams for resolution.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of RMS-related issues.
• Maintain incident records, escalation procedures, and operational documentation.
• Support client-specific RMS configurations and operational requirements.
• Ensure timely resolution of production issues within defined SLAs.

2. Quality Assurance & Testing

• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing of RMS and trading applications.
• Understand business requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Validate RMS rules, risk parameters, limits, configurations, and trading workflows.
• Execute regression testing for application releases and configuration changes.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects throughout the complete defect life cycle.
• Coordinate with Development and Product teams for defect resolution and release readiness.
• Perform production validation and post-release sanity checks.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and release quality.

3. RMS & Trading Domain

• Develop a strong understanding of RMS functionality and risk controls within trading systems.
• Understand trading lifecycle, order validation, risk checks, exposure, limits, margin, and related RMS parameters.
• Work with trading applications, exchange connectivity, and related capital-market technology platforms.
• Understand the impact of RMS configuration changes on trading operations and client environments.
• Investigate discrepancies between expected and actual RMS behavior and coordinate resolution.

4. Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis

• Monitor and investigate application and operational incidents.
• Perform detailed analysis of production issues and identify probable root causes.
• Coordinate with Development, Infrastructure, and Operations teams for issue resolution.
• Prepare incident reports and RCA documentation as required.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented for recurring issues.
• Participate in production support and critical incident handling when required.

5. Release & Deployment Support

• Coordinate with QA, Development, Product, and Infrastructure teams during release activities.
• Perform pre-release testing and production sanity checks.
• Validate configurations and application functionality after deployment.
• Support rollback and issue-resolution activities when required.
• Ensure release documentation, checklists, and approvals are properly maintained.

6. Client & Internal Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with internal teams on client-specific RMS requirements and issues.
• Support client onboarding, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Understand and respond to operational queries related to RMS functionality.
• Maintain effective communication with Product, Technology, Operations, and Client Support teams.
• Ensure timely escalation of critical production or client-impacting issues.

7. Process Improvement & Documentation

• Identify opportunities to improve RMS operational processes and QA practices.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, test documentation, operational checklists, and knowledge-base documents.
• Contribute to automation and process-improvement initiatives wherever applicable.
• Maintain accurate records of defects, incidents, releases, and production changes.
• Follow defined operational, security, and compliance processes.

Key Skills & Competencies

• 3-5 years of experience in QA, RMS Operations, Production Support, or Trading Technology.
• Strong understanding of RMS and capital-market/trading applications.
• Good knowledge of functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Experience in production support and incident management.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Good understanding of trading workflows and risk-management processes.
• Experience with defect management and release validation.
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Exposure to APIs, application logs, monitoring tools, or automation testing will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure production environments.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and process orientation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in QA, RMS Operations, Production Support, or Trading Technology.
• Experience in FinTech, Stock Broking, Capital Markets, Exchange Technology, or Trading Platforms will be preferred.
• Hands-on experience with RMS and trading applications will be strongly preferred.
