Senior Procurement Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive end-to-end procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, services, equipment, and project requirements.
• Prepare procurement plans based on project schedules, production requirements, and operational priorities.
• Handle RFQs, tender floating, bid analysis, techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations, and order finalization.
• Manage day-to-day procurement operations including purchase order processing, follow-up, expediting, logistics coordination, and delivery tracking.
• Ensure timely availability of materials at site/plant to avoid operational and project delays.
• Develop strategic sourcing plans, identify new vendors, and maintain strong supplier relationships for cost optimization and supply continuity.
• Monitor vendor performance, quality compliance, delivery timelines, and corrective actions.
• Review contracts, payment terms, taxation, statutory compliance, and procurement risks before order release.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives through benchmarking, market intelligence, and commercial evaluations.
• Utilize ERP and digital procurement tools for MIS reporting, inventory coordination, tracking, and procurement control.
• Coordinate closely with Projects, Factory, Stores, QA/QC, Finance, Planning, and Operations teams to ensure smooth procurement and operational execution.
• Lead procurement team activities while maintaining ethical, transparent, and process-oriented procurement practices.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of commercial terms and contracts.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
