Role Overview

As a Senior Power BI Consultant / Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable Business Intelligence solutions. You will lead a team of BI developers and analysts while working closely with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams to define data strategies, build modern data architectures, and implement impactful reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise, solution architecture capabilities, client-facing consulting experience, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design end-to-end Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions.
• Define enterprise reporting architecture and data strategies.
• Architect scalable Power BI solutions for large datasets and complex business requirements.
• Recommend best practices for data modeling, governance, security, and performance optimization.
• Design data integration frameworks and reporting ecosystems.

Power BI Development & Leadership

• Lead the development of enterprise dashboards, scorecards, and analytical solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of Power BI developers and analysts.
• Establish BI development standards, coding practices, and governance frameworks.
• Review technical designs and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement across BI delivery processes.

Data Modeling & Analytics

• Design and implement:
• Star Schema Models
• Snowflake Schema Models
• Semantic Models
• Enterprise Data Models
• Aggregation Strategies
• Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations.
• Optimize report performance and query execution.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance standards.

Data Integration & Engineering

• Design and manage integrations across multiple platforms and applications.
• Work with structured and unstructured data sources.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Support real-time and batch data processing solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Cloud Architects.

Cloud & Modern Data Platform Expertise

Hands-on experience with:

• Microsoft Power BI
• Microsoft Fabric
• Snowflake
• Azure Data Lake Storage
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure SQL Database

Experience with:

• Data Lakes
• Data Warehouses
• Lakehouse Architectures
• Cloud Analytics Platforms
• Enterprise Data Governance

Dashboard & Visualization Excellence

• Create highly interactive and visually compelling dashboards.
• Develop executive-level KPI scorecards and storytelling dashboards.
• Build custom visuals and advanced visualization solutions.
• Design mobile-responsive reporting solutions.
• Implement user experience (UX) best practices in dashboard design.

Client Consulting & Stakeholder Management

• Engage with business leaders and executives to understand analytical requirements.
• Conduct workshops, discovery sessions, and solution presentations.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for BI and Analytics initiatives.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and project delivery.

Governance & Security

• Define enterprise Power BI governance frameworks.
• Establish deployment pipelines and release management processes.
• Implement data security, compliance, and audit controls.
• Manage workspace administration and capacity planning.
