Senior Merchandiser

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Merchandiser with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in the garment industry (Export House)

Role & responsibilities - Sr Merchandiser

Should have good in-depth product knowledge.
Should have ability to manage the entire merchandising process from development to shipping.
strong grasp of buyer communication techniques for productive teamwork.
competence in export marketing procedures, sampling, and merchandise planning.
Should have ability to coordinate with design, PD and vendors for sample developments and costings.
Should liaison with supplier to manage material sourcing, costing/ margins and order placements.
Ensure daily accurate communications between vendors & teams to ensure quality and on time delivery.
Ability to explore and grow the vendor bases to grow the product categories with the buyers.
Timely order follow up with vendors as per the T & A and maintaining data files accurately for status review.
Work closely with the Planning /Compliance/QA Teams to place and monitor progress of the orders.
Work with Logistics team to ensure timely dispatch and deliveries.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong background in merchandising woven and knit fabrics with in-depth knowledge of high-fashion garments.
Experience in product development, costing, raw materials, and T&A planning.
Must have experience working directly with buyers.
Comprehensive knowledge of different fabric qualities and garment manufacturing processes.
Ability to process orders and coordinate with suppliers regarding material delivery dates and pricing.
Responsible for obtaining all necessary approvals from buyers for each order.
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with multiple systems, charts, and reports.
