Aspira Pathlab & Diagnostics is Looking for Lab Technicians( Only Males)

Department: Lab Operations

Designation: Lab Technician

Job Responsibilities:

Receive, label and analyze samples (blood and other samples etc.)
Design and execute laboratory testing according, standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings
Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Managing Optimal Department Operations by Ensuring the Following:
1) Monitoring reagent, calibrator and control inventory. To ensure that expired material is not in stock or in use.
2) Active participation in monthly QC review, internal audits & external audits.
Daily Tasks
1) Ensure work surfaces are cleaned daily with 1% Sodium Hypochlorite before and after completion of work.
2) Help in sample sorting instrument wise or as per STAT request.
3) Monitor integrity of samples prior to processing.
4) Department QC review, trouble shooting, root cause analysis, CA, PA with the help of HOD.
5) Follow-up on STAT reporting of the department.
6) Printing worksheets and follow to complete routine work.
7) Attaching machine print outs of patient results with the corresponding worksheet.
8) Mention previous records of the patient on the worksheet, if any.
9) Decide on retesting of results and recollection of samples for retesting with the consent of HOD or other pathologists performing microscopy.
10) Performing manual processes in the department scope of tests

11) Perform sample dilutions if required under the supervision
12) Preparing and staining thick and thin smears.
13) Speaking to patients regarding clinical history.
14) Periodic check on pending list and completion of pending tests.
15) Ensure TAT is met for all samples.
16) Proper retention of samples as per SOP criteria.
17) Periodic discard of samples as per policy and documentation of the same.
18) Point out non-conformances or errors to the concerned authority(QA /QC manager or Pathologist)
19) Log in non-conformances in Error log document
20) Critical values are immediately informed to concerned client.
21) Print monthly LJs and prepare outliers chart.
22) Perform retained sample testing and evaluation as per schedule.
23) Test IQC & EQC samples and document it with the help of QA dept.

Communication & Teamwork:

Maintains positive working relationship with the staff & management personnel.
Uses interpersonal skills to support lab customers & promote success of team member.
Should be flexible with shift timings if required in case of inadequate staff.
Documentation
1)Ensure all documents and records are maintained & updated on real time basis .

Inventory

1) Ensures adequate stock in department & proper utilization of reagents & control material.
2) Take a physical stock of the department utilities

Safety & Education:
1) Complies with laboratory safety procedures.
2)Possess adequate knowledge of instrumentation, theory and application of existing tests.
3)Attends internal CMEs to enhance his/her knowledge.
Understanding thoroughly tests and instrument SOPs and implementing the same.
