Role Overview

As a Senior Java Developer, you will design, build, and maintain cloud-native microservices using Java and Spring Boot for banking and financial services use cases. You will deploy and operate services on AWS, implementing CI/CD pipelines to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable software. The role emphasizes strong microservices design, API development, and adherence to security and compliance standards common to the banking domain. You will collaborate closely with product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams, and may leverage AI-assisted code generation tools responsibly to accelerate delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Proven experience building and operating microservices and RESTful APIs.
• AWS cloud experience (deploying and running services, core cloud concepts).
• AI for code generation
• CI/CD implementation experience (automated build, test, and deployment pipelines).
• Banking/Financial Services domain experience.
• Understanding of cloud-native design principles, scalability, and reliability.
• Secure coding practices and knowledge of compliance in financial services.
• Version control using Git and collaborative development (code reviews, branching).
• Testing exposure (unit/integration) with frameworks such as JUnit/Mockito.
• Familiarity with AI code generation tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Tabnine) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices for banking use cases.
• Build secure, scalable REST APIs and integrate with internal/external systems.
• Deploy and operate services on AWS following cloud-native best practices.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and quality gates.
• Ensure security, compliance, and data protection aligned to banking standards.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, reliability, and production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; participate in code reviews and mentoring.
• Document architecture, APIs, and operational runbooks; contribute to continuous improvement.
• Evaluate and, where appropriate, apply AI-assisted code generation tools with proper guardrails.
