Job Description

The role will involve coordinating with engineers and project teams, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing technical oversight to junior draughtspersons. The incumbent will use CAD/BIM tools to deliver accurate and compliant drawings while keeping up to date with industry standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and prepare detailed drawings for plumbing and fire protection systems based on design concepts and specifications.

2. Interpret and review system design plans, schematics, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy.

3. Coordinate with design engineers and project managers to incorporate design changes and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

4. Review and check drawings prepared by junior draughtspersons for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.

5. Assist in technical reviews, resolve design issues, maintain documentation control, and ensure timely delivery of drawings to stakeholders.

Key Skills Required

1. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.

2. Strong knowledge of plumbing fire protection systems.

3. Familiarity with NFPA, NBC, and local codes.

4. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

5. Ability to mentor junior draughtspersons and work independently.
