Job Description
Your role
- Process salary, reimbursements, gratuity, superannuation, EPFO, and other statutory benefits in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Manage vendor invoices end to end, including validation, accruals, reclassifications, and amortization prior to submission for payment.
- Support bookkeeping and accounting activities related to payroll and benefits expenses.
- Perform headcount and benefits reconciliations across HR, payroll, benefits, and finance systems.
- Manage and coordinate vendor agreements and medical insurance renewals GTL, for the Mumbai office.
- Respond to employee and statutory benefit queries, ensuring timely resolution in line with defined SLAs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, audit trails, and compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and simplification to enhance productivity and compliance, influencing change at a regional level.
- Partner effectively with third party payroll and benefits providers to ensure seamless, compliant, and high quality service delivery, and manage vendor relationships at a regional level.
- Continuously build and share subject matter expertise by staying current on internal updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- Provide ad hoc operational support for assigned processes as required.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Commerce, Accounting, HR or a related field is required.
- Minimum 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in payroll and benefits administration in India
- Proficient using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of India Payroll, EPF, statutory compliances, Personal taxation etc.
- Exposure to Employee Benefits like Insurance, National Pension Scheme is required.
- Knowledge of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act) of India and the obligations related to the collection, use, protection, and handling of personal data.
- Good understanding of labor laws and compliances
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Self-starter, highly motivated and innovative
- Must be flexible with work hours if required.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the firm are required.
- Experienced working with regional or global team set-ups/stakeholders would be a strong advantage.
