Job Description

Software Development

• Design, develop, and maintain industrial automation software using C++17 and Qt 6.x.
• Develop robust device integration layers for PLCs, cameras, scanners, printers, sensors, and other industrial hardware.
• Enhance system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware-software integration issues.

Architecture & Refactoring

• Analyze existing codebases and identify opportunities for architectural improvements.
• Refactor legacy code to improve modularity, maintainability, testability, and scalability.
• Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture practices across the codebase.
• Introduce coding standards, code review practices, and maintainable software engineering processes.

Product Platform Consolidation

• Drive the consolidation of multiple machine-specific software variants into a common configurable platform.
• Design feature-based and configuration-driven architectures to support different machine models while maintaining a single codebase.
• Reduce code duplication and improve software reuse across projects.

Windows Service Development

• Convert existing console-based applications into robust Windows Services.
• Implement service lifecycle management, monitoring, logging, recovery, and deployment mechanisms.
• Ensure reliable background execution for 24x7 industrial environments.

Machine Vision

• Develop and optimize image processing algorithms using OpenCV.
• Integrate and troubleshoot industrial cameras.
• Improve inspection accuracy, performance, and reliability of vision systems.

Industrial Communication

• Integrate PLCs and field devices using industrial communication protocols.
• Maintain and enhance MQTT-based communication between backend systems and .NET frontend applications.
• Participate in system commissioning, debugging, and production support activities.

Technical Skills Required

Must Have

• Strong proficiency in C++17
• Hands-on experience with Qt 5/6
• Strong understanding of:
• OOP Concepts
• SOLID Principles
• Design Patterns
• Clean Code Practices
• Dependency Injection
• Modular Architecture
• Experience developing Windows desktop/background applications
• Experience with multithreading, synchronization, and concurrency
• Experience with STL and Modern C++ techniques
• Experience integrating external devices through APIs, SDKs, TCP/IP, or Serial communication
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills

Experience with Git and version control systems
