Job Description

Shift & Work Schedule (Important)

As this for 24x7 SOC monitoring the Candidates must be comfortable with working on weekends (5-day work week). He can take offs on weekdays. The role might be expected to transition to a rotational model (including night shifts). Shift timings may change as per need arising.

Key Knowledge

Computer networking basics: TCP/IP, OSI model, ports/protocols, firewalls, DNS.
Operating systems: working knowledge of Windows and basic familiarity with Linux.
Cybersecurity fundamentals: common attack types (phishing, malware, brute force, DDoS), basic cryptography, authentication concepts.
Awareness of frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain.

Mindset and Skills

Genuine interest in cybersecurity — demonstrated through projects, certifications, CTFs, internships, clubs, or self-driven learning.
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication in English.
Ability to stay calm and structured under pressure.
Willingness to work in shifts (including weekends, and rotational shifts later — see above).

Good to Have (Not Mandatory)

Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, or CEH (completed or in progress).
Basic scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Exposure to cloud security basics (AWS / Azure).
Participation in CTFs, hackathons, or platforms like TryHackMe / HackTheBox.
Awareness of BFSI compliance (SEBI CSCRF, RBI cybersecurity guidelines, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Benchmarks).
