Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Second Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and excellent technical skills.

Roles and Responsibility

Collaborate with the chief engineer to ensure safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities to prevent equipment failure.

Develop and implement effective solutions to improve engine performance and reduce fuel consumption.

Assist in navigation and communication operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Participate in cargo handling and stowage activities, maintaining accurate records.

Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and crew members.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 2 years of experience as a second engineer on a merchant ship or similar role.

Strong knowledge of engine mechanics, navigation, and safety procedures.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead when necessary.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
