Job Title: Safety Manager - Realty
Reporting To: HOD

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience

Qualification: B.E / Diploma (Civil), EHS Safety

Industry: Real Estate Development / Construction

Job Location: Mumbai (Andheri East)

Profile Overview:

• The Safety Manager will develop and enforces health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols across construction sites and properties. Conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, ensure statutory compliance and drive safety training to eliminate workplace hazards and protect all personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site & Property Safety Compliance

• Enforce statutory safety norms (e.g., BOCW regulations) across all project sites, base builds, and interior fit-outs.
• Ensure proper Permit-to-Work systems are implemented for hazardous activities such as height works, confined space entry, and heavy lifting.
• Manage safety infrastructure including first aid, emergency medical assistance, and worker welfare facilities.

2. Audits & Risk Management

• Conduct daily/weekly safety walks, Gemba walks, and periodic audits to identify unsafe acts or conditions.
• Ensure strict Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) documentation and enforce method statements for contractor activities.
• Monitor compliance toward traffic management, electrical installations, and scaffolding.

3. Incident Investigation & Reporting

• Lead inquiries and root-cause analyses for all incidents (near misses, first aid, or Lost Time Injuries).
• Compile and submit monthly health and safety performance metrics to project stakeholders.

4. Training & Culture Building

• Conduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) and safety orientations for workers, supervisors, and contractors.
• Build a proactive safety culture by organizing campaigns, safety committees, and emergency drills.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Industrial Safety, or Occupational Health/Environmental Safety.
• Experience10+ years of dedicated safety management experience in the real estate or construction sector.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as CHST (Certified Health and Safety Technician) or NEBOSH are highly preferred.
• Skills: In-depth knowledge of local EHS regulations, strong data analysis abilities, and exceptional communication skills to manage stakeholders and contractors.
