Job Description
- Perform quality control activities for hematology analysers and related equipment.
- Conduct QC testing of hematology reagents, calibrators, controls, and consumables.
- Perform routine analytical testing of hematology reagents and ensure results meet defined quality specifications.
- Assist in reagent development, optimization, and quality evaluation for hematology applications.
- Conduct QC stability testing of hematology reagents and maintain stability records, reports, and summaries.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot hematology analysers and other laboratory instruments used for QC testing.
- Perform method verification, validation, and analytical performance evaluation of hematology-related procedures.
- Conduct testing as per approved QC, manufacturing, and laboratory SOPs.
- Review test results, identify deviations or abnormal results, and assist in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, calibration records, and QC documentation.
- Participate in SOP review and recommend improvements or updates based on laboratory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality standards, and internal QC procedures.
Requirements & Skills
- Strong understanding of Hematology and laboratory testing principles.
- Hands-on experience with hematology analysers will be preferred.
- Knowledge of hematology parameters such as CBC, Hb, RBC, WBC, platelets, HCT, MCV, MCH, MCHC, and differential counts.
- Basic knowledge of hematology reagents, calibrators, controls, and their QC requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good laboratory practices and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret QC data and identify deviations.
- Strong technical and documentation skills.
- Experience in a laboratory, QC, diagnostics, or IVD environment will be an advantage.
- Experience: 02 years; freshers with relevant academic/laboratory exposure may also be considered.
Qualifications
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with relevant Hematology/Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) background may also be considered.
