Quality Assurance Engineer

Technology

We are seeking a QA Engineer with expertise in backend testing and proficiency in Python and C++.
While prior trading/HFT experience is a plus, the candidate must have a strong foundation in automation testing, APIs, and databases, and be eager to work on high-performance, business-critical systems.
This role involves significant cross-team collaboration, requiring excellent collaboration skills and the ability to translate technical quality insights into business impact.

Key Responsibility

Design and implement automation test suites for backend systems, APIs, and databases.

Develop reusable automation frameworks using Python (PyTest, Requests) and C++ (gTest, Boost.
Test).

Collaborate with development, product, and client teams to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.

Conduct API testing (REST, WebSocket, FIX where applicable) to validate system reliability and functionality.

Perform database validations (SQL queries, consistency checks, trade/order data validation).

Participate in client discussions, providing clear test strategies, reporting defects, and aligning on quality expectations.

Drive cross-team collaboration to ensure smooth integration testing between trading engines, risk systems, and data pipelines.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated regression and smoke tests.

Support performance and load testing under real-world scenarios.

Required Skillset

Strong C++ skills with a good experience of C++11 and C++14.

Good knowledge in scripting languages like Python.

Comfortable with working on Linux.

Adept problem-solving skills, data-structures and algorithms.

Strong understanding of computer architecture and multi-core architecture.

Desired Skills

Understanding of multi-threaded programming.

Network and socket programming knowledge.

Experience with inter process communication.

Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a team player.
