Job Title: QA Engineer.
Company: Skima Innovation Pvt Ltd.
Location: Andheri East Mumbai.
We are Skima, a fast-paced startup. Were building on a modern stack (Ruby on Rails + React/Next.js) and shipping features constantly. Right now, we need a dedicated QA Engineer to take ownership of our release quality. We aren’t looking for a “click-tester” who just follows a script. We need someone who understands how modern web apps work, can write
their own Selenium scripts, and isn’t afraid to tell the dev team, “We can’t ship this yet.”

What you’ll be doing:
• Own the Quality: You are the last line of defence before a feature hits production. If
it breaks, you should be the one finding it, not the user.
• Automation (Selenium): We don’t want you manually checking the same login flow
every day. You’ll write and maintain Selenium scripts to handle regression testing so
you can focus on the tricky stuff.
• Test the Full Stack: You’ll be testing our frontend (React/Astro/Next.js) for UX
glitches and ensuring our backend (RoR) handles data correctly.
• Hunt Bugs: When something breaks, you’ll reproduce it, log it in Jira with clear
steps, and help the developers isolate the issue.
What we’re looking for:
• Experience: You’ve tested web applications in a startup environment before. You know the
difference between a “blocking” bug and a “nice-to-have” fix.
• Technical Chops:
Strong experience with Selenium (writing scripts from scratch).
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and React (you don’t need to be a dev, but you need to know
how to read the code and understand the architecture).
Comfortable using SQL to verify data in the database.
• Mindset: You’re curious. You ask “What happens if I click this twice?” or “What if I cut the
internet here?”
