Purchase Manager

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Plan and manage procurement of construction materials as per project requirements.
Source and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
Obtain quotations, compare rates, negotiate prices, and finalize suppliers.
Prepare and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with site, stores, accounts, and project teams for material requirements.
Monitor material prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure materials meet required quality, quantity, and specifications.
Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotations, and invoices.
Track pending orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
Handle vendor issues, payment coordination, and purchase-related documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate/Diploma with relevant experience in construction procurement/purchase.
Experience in purchasing cement, steel, sand, aggregates, plumbing, electrical, hardware, and other construction materials preferred.
Good negotiation, communication, and vendor-management skills.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and purchase/ERP software.
Experience: 1+ years preferred.
