Milton is looking for a Purchase Executive for Mumbai - Kandivali location.

JD - Purchase Executive

Float RFQs, evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP/SAP system.
Develop new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
Conduct vendor visits, supplier evaluations, and performance reviews.
Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries and resolve supply-related issues.
Monitor inventory levels and plan procurement to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
Verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs), quality documents, and supplier compliance requirements.
Resolve quality, quantity, and delivery-related issues with suppliers in coordination with the Quality team.
Prepare procurement MIS reports, price comparisons, and cost-saving analyses.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements in procurement activities.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory requirements.

Skills Required :

Good knowledge of stainless steel grades, Plastic, specifications, and applications.

Basic understanding of metal manufacturing processes such as rolling, slitting, annealing, and pickling.

Experience in supplier/vendor development, vendor evaluation, and performance monitoring.

Ability to conduct supplier visits, audits, and technical discussions.

Strong follow-up and coordination skills to ensure timely material delivery.

Knowledge of quality parameters, material test certificates (MTC), and inspection requirements.

Good negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for procurement and reporting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication and cross-functional coordination with production, quality, and planning teams.
