Purchase Executive - Electronics

• Procure electronic components such as ICs, semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, diodes, MOSFETs, connectors, relays, sensors, crystals, cables and other electronic/electromechanical components.
• Review BOMs, part numbers, specifications, quantities and approved manufacturers/vendors before procurement.
• Source components from authorized distributors, manufacturers and approved vendors.
• Float RFQs, collect quotations and prepare comparative statements based on price, quality, MOQ, lead time and payment terms.
• Negotiate with suppliers for best price, delivery schedule, credit terms and commercial conditions.
• Identify and develop new/alternate vendors and alternate components to address shortages and reduce cost.
• Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
• Track open POs and continuously follow up with vendors for on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with Engineering for prototype/NPI requirements and technical clarification on components and substitutes.
• Coordinate with Stores, Production, Quality, Finance and Logistics for material receipt, inspection, rejection and payment-related issues.
• Maintain purchase records, quotations, vendor database, price history and procurement trackers in ERP.
• Monitor critical/long-lead components, shortages, obsolete/EOL components and supply risks.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing, vendor negotiation and bulk procurement.
• Ensure procurement is from genuine and traceable sources, particularly for critical electronic components used in defence products.
• Prepare regular reports on purchase status, pending materials, shortages, cost savings and vendor performance.

• Any Graduate/Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, E&TC, Instrumentation or related discipline
• Good knowledge of electronic components and their specifications/datasheets.
• Ability to understand and interpret BOMs and Manufacturer Part Numbers (MPNs).
• Hands-on experience in vendor development, sourcing and price negotiation.
• Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
• Understanding of MOQ, lead time, payment terms, delivery schedules and basic import procurement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
