Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and resource plans for boiler packages.
• Coordinate with internal teams (design, procurement, quality, fabrication, site, and commissioning).
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and project budgets.
• Review boiler designs, drawings, P&IDs, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet ASME, ISO, IBR, and other applicable standards.
• Provide technical clarification to vendors, contractors, and clients.
• Support the selection and sizing of boiler components (pressure parts, burners, pumps, valves, fans, controls, etc.)
• Prepare technical specifications for procurement of boiler equipment.
• Evaluate vendor offers and participate in technical bid analyses.
• Monitor vendor progress and ensure timely delivery of equipment and documentation.
• Coordinate with fabrication shops and site teams to ensure boilers and auxiliaries are manufactured and installed per engineering requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve issues related to erection, welding, piping, and equipment alignment.
• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including hydro tests, functional checks, and boiler light-up.
• 28 years of experience in boiler engineering, EPC projects, or power/industrial plant construction.
• Hands-on experience with utility boilers, industrial boilers, WHRB, or HRSG (as applicable).
• Strong understanding of boiler thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion, pressure parts, and piping systems.
• Familiarity with ASME Section I & VIII, IBR, API standards, and project QA/QC practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering tools; MS Project/Primavera is a plus.
