Production Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Oversee the end-to-end manufacturing process of diffusers and decanters. Supervise and manage production operations, ensuring that daily and weekly production targets are met. Develop, implement, and optimize production processes for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Monitor and ensure the quality of manufactured products meets internal and industry standards. Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve issues related to production machinery, materials, and methods. Work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure the feasibility of product designs and ensure that manufacturing processes align with design specifications. Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of materials for production. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance in the production environment. Prepare and maintain detailed production reports, including inventory management, resource utilization, and downtime analysis. Manage and train production staff, ensuring effective teamwork, skill development, and adherence to safety protocols. Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory). Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the wastewater treatment industry. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and equipment used in the production of wastewater treatment components. Experience with quality control and process optimization in a production setting. Hands-on experience with production machinery, tools, and equipment maintenance. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to wastewater treatment equipment manufacturing. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities. Proficiency in using ERP and production management software. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques. Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with CAD software for basic design understanding and modifications.
