Job Description

Opening in Production Engineering Department at L&T Ship Building Katupalli. Roles: Preparation of overall ship hull construction philosophy and breaking down into workable blocks. Preparation of handling arrangements and turning arrangements using existing Material Handling Equipment. Enable release of Ship hull construction drawings by adding details required for production. Preparation of procedure and sequence of fabrication. Skill Set Required are Strength of Materials, Theory of machines, Kinematics of Machines (desirable), Manufacturing Technology, Machine Design (Desirable), Ship Construction practices, procedures and Ship terminology. Should be conversant with Auto Cad, Microsoft office tools. Basic knowledge on 3D modelling software, and Finite element analysis is required. Latest trends in manufacturing technologies, Automation and Digitalization will be of additional help to the role .
