Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. On approval of drawing, receive the controlled copy of drawing from Design Department. Also, maintain a detailed record of the same. 2. Receive Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) from documentation department. 3. Before beginning the fabrication process, study the drawing in detail. If any queries/ issues, discuss with design department and proceed only after clearing the queries. Identify issues in drawing in order to ensure further improvement and avoid rework in Fabrication. 4. Follow the SOP for material tracking and identification through the production system. 5. Begin the production activities as per QAP. Follow QAP activities at all stages. Keep the Quality Assurance department informed about the processes completed. Prepare stage wise inspection reports and submit to QA department. Ensure strict implementation of in-process testing at every production stage. 6. Carry out visual inspection for all manual welding, grinding and buffing processes. Prepare jobwise reports and maintain the record for the same. 7. Conduct micro-level production planning to manage equipment/parts availability for complete manufacturing process and forecast any bottlenecks in advance. 8. Communicate clear instructions well in advance to all members of production department. 9. Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to factory workers. 10. Maintain and follow Production Planning process and Production Record. 11. Provide plan for job-wise material requirements. Issue job wise Material Requisition Slip to Stores Department for the required material. 12. Responsible for man-power utilization and reconciliation, productivity improvement. 13. Perform borescopy and tagging. Preferred candidate profile Mechanical Engineer with good communication skills
