Job Description

Research on topical tax issues
Preparation of well researched Position Papers / Technical Guidance on contentious tax issues
Responding to queries sent by client teams (pan-India) and communicating a firm position on the issues raised
Developing tax ideas / solutions which can be taken to the market
Reviewing the technical correctness and workability of tax ideas sent by the client teams
Preparation of publications / thought leadership materials / flyers on industry-specific or general but important tax issues
Rolling out an internal monthly bulletin to the client teams summarizing the key queries handled by the KnS team and other important updates
Spearheading the technical learning and development initiatives of the firm [including conducting monthly trainings (KnS as well as by client teams)]
Keeping abreast of the latest tax developments (on domestic and international tax front) and disseminating key information / takeaways within the firm
Responsible for keeping the Knowledge Management portal up-to-date
Preparation of case for opinion and discussion with external tax counsels on a need basis (especially for important tax matters)
Mentoring the team members and providing constructive feedback to them periodically and providing all necessary guidance on various assignments
