About the Role

Looking for a senior SEO & GEO Practice Leader to build and scale its enterprise Search, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI Search Visibility business.

This is a high-ownership leadership role for someone who combines deep Enterprise SEO expertise, hands-on GEO / Generative Search experience and strong business leadership.

You will own practice strategy, enterprise solutioning, client outcomes, delivery capability, team development, new business support and practice economics.

Key Responsibilities

Build and own the SEO & GEO practice, including strategy, proposition, operating model and delivery standards.
Develop enterprise solutions across Enterprise SEO, Technical SEO, Content Strategy, GEO, AI Search, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), LLM visibility and Entity Optimization.
Lead SEO/GEO audits, enterprise search strategies, competitive visibility analysis, GEO maturity assessments, content and authority strategies and transformation roadmaps.
Help enterprise clients improve visibility across Google Search, Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI discovery platforms.
Build AI-led workflows for SEO research, search intent analysis, SERP analysis, content optimization, technical audits, entity analysis, GEO query analysis, AI visibility tracking and reporting.
Own strategic client engagements and work directly with CMOs, Heads of Digital, Marketing Leaders and Ecommerce Leaders.
Build and lead high-performing teams across SEO, GEO, Content Strategy and Analytics.
Drive practice growth through solutioning, workshops, pitches, proposals and commercial scoping.
Own key practice metrics including revenue, gross margin, utilisation, pricing, resource planning, client profitability and P&L.
Develop scalable methodologies, AI-led delivery processes, frameworks and proprietary capabilities for SEO and GEO.

Mandatory Experience

15+ years of relevant professional experience with significant experience leading Enterprise SEO programmes.
Strong hands-on expertise in SEO, Technical SEO, Enterprise SEO and organic growth.
Minimum approximately 2 years of substantive experience in GEO, Generative Search, AI Search or LLM visibility.
Proven experience building GEO/AI Search capabilities rather than simply adding GEO terminology to traditional SEO services.
Strong understanding of Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and emerging AI discovery platforms.
Experience implementing AI-led workflows or automation for SEO/GEO delivery.
Experience leading large SEO/GEO teams and managing senior specialists.
Experience owning or significantly influencing P&L, revenue, profitability or practice economics.
Strong enterprise client management and ability to engage with senior marketing and digital leadership.
Strong commercial understanding of scope, estimation, pricing, resource planning and profitability.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a builder and practice leader, not a conventional SEO Manager.

The ideal candidate can move comfortably between technical SEO, GEO/AI Search strategy, enterprise transformation and CMO-level business conversations.

You should be senior enough to own the practice while remaining close enough to the work to challenge strategy, audits, recommendations and execution quality.
