Practice Lead Catastrophe Modelling and Exposure

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Transformation & Strategic Consulting

• Advise clients on catastrophe and exposure transformation roadmaps, target operating models, and capability uplift.

• Shape opportunities, define solution scope, and establish measurable outcomes tied to business value.

• Develop forward-looking solutions that address emerging perils, evolving regulatory expectations, and new market opportunities.

2. Client Engagement and Solution Strengthening

• Lead the design and deployment of catastrophe and exposure solutions for insurers, reinsurers, and brokers.

• Serve as a business architect, partnering with clients to envision and deliver outcomes powered by agentic AI offerings.

• Own the end-to-end solution lifecycle, from problem framing through to deployment planning.

• Lead RFPs, proposals, and client demonstrations, articulating clear business value and a credible delivery model.

• Ensure every solution is robust, scalable, and tightly aligned to client objectives.

3. Techno-Functional & Domain Leadership

• Operate as the subject-matter expert across catastrophe modelling and exposure management.

• Bridge catastrophe and technology teams on feasibility, design choices, and implementation.

• Stay ahead of industry trends, evolving models, tooling, and emerging perils to continuously sharpen practice offerings.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with delivery, process excellence, digital platform, and data teams to co-create end-to-end solutions.

• Drive standardization and optimization of catastrophe and exposure workflows.

• Embed analytics, automation, and AI capabilities into core solutions and reusable offerings.

5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Champion solution innovation through modern tools, platforms, and engineering practices.

• Build and scale reusable assets, frameworks, and accelerators that improve speed-to-value.

• Continuously refine solutioning methods and stakeholder engagement playbooks.

Key Skills & Competencies Domain & Functional

• Deep expertise in catastrophe modelling and exposure management across insurance, reinsurance, and broking.

• Proven ability to translate complex risk problems into practical, scalable solutions

• Strong grasp of automation, analytics, AI/ML, and digital platforms within P&C.

• Working knowledge of APIs, cloud, data platforms, and modern integration patterns. Solutioning & Consulting

• Strong solution architecture credentials with demonstrated RFP / proposal leadership and pre-sales experience.

• Compelling communication and storytelling skills with senior client stakeholders. Collaboration & Leadership

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across business and technology.

• Track record of leading virtual, cross-functional, and globally distributed teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Business, IT, Analytics, or a related discipline.

• 15+ years in solutioning, consulting, or transformation roles, including 7+ years dedicated to catastrophe and exposure management.

• Demonstrated success working with global clients and multi-geography teams.

• Proven track record in client-facing roles and large-scale transformation programs
