Senior Database Administrator

Senior Database Administrator who specializes in either PostgreSQL or SQL Server. It focuses on the core pillars of the role: reliability, performance, and security.

A PostgreSQL or SQL server DBA candidate to DevOps team

Key Responsibilities

Administration & Maintenance: Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades for either PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server environments.
Performance Engineering: Proactively monitor database health. Conduct deep-dive performance tuning, including query optimization, index management, and resource allocation.
High Availability (HA) & DR: Design and manage failover clusters, Always On Availability Groups (SQL Server), or streaming replication and Patroni (PostgreSQL) to ensure zero-loss disaster recovery.
Security & Compliance: Implement "Zero-Trust" security models, including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Row-Level Security, and rigorous IAM/MFA protocols.
Automation: Replace manual toil with automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash for patching, backups, and provisioning.
Cloud Integration: Manage databases in hybrid or cloud environments
