Job Title: Open Source DBA L2 (Primary: MongoDB, Secondary : Postgres & Mysql)
Experience: 3-5 Years
Location: Mumbai / Navi Mumbai

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Open Source Database Administrator (L2) with strong expertise in MongoDB as the primary database. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in MongoDB administration along with working knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL to support day-to-day DBA operations in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

MongoDB (Primary Database)

• End-to-end administration of MongoDB across production and non-production environments
• Installation, configuration, and upgrades (standalone, replica sets, sharded clusters)
• User and role management (authentication & authorization)
• Backup and restore using mongodump, mongorestore, filesystem, and snapshot-based methods
• Performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting
• Patching and version upgrades with minimal downtime
• DR setup, failover testing, and DR drill execution
• Data migration and support for CRUD operations
• Handling replication, indexing, schema design reviews, and capacity planning
• Log analysis, incident handling, and RCA

MySQL & PostgreSQL (Secondary Databases)

• Installation and basic configuration on Linux systems
• User management and access control
• Backup and restore operations
• Patching and version upgrades
• Basic performance monitoring and troubleshooting
• DR drill execution and failover validation
• Support to application teams for database operations

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in MongoDB (mandatory)
• Good understanding of MongoDB internals, replication, and storage engines
• Working knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL administration
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, patching, and upgrades
• Understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts
• Experience in handling production issues (L2 support)
• Willingness to work in shifts/on-call support
