Resort Finance | FP&A Operating Model
Designation: FP&A Reporting & Analytics Lead
Department: Finance
Location: Mumbai (Corporate Office)
Reporting To: Vice President Finance (Resorts & Projects)
Grade / Level: AGM Finance (based on experience) Grade: 9
Role 1: FP&A Business Partner Resorts
Core Purpose
Own the thinking, judgment, and decision support for resort performance. This role ensures that financial insights translate into clear actions, accountability, and profitability improvement.
Primary Focus
- Forwardlooking planning and forecasting
- Performance interpretation and business partnering
- Strategic and deepdive analytics
- Senior leadership engagement
What This Role Is Accountable For
- Credible annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Clear explanation of why performance is moving (not just what)
- Identification of structural vs temporary issues
- Translating numbers into operational actions
- Driving GOP/GOL improvement levers with resort leadership

CEO / MD, CFO, VP-finance, Chief Resort Officer, Resort Heads, Strategy, Corporate Finance.
Role 2: FP&A Reporting & Analytics Lead
Core Purpose
Own the FP&A reporting and analytics engine, ensuring accurate, timely, standardized, and increasingly automated information for decision makers.
Primary Focus
- Management reporting (MOR) ownership
- Data quality, consistency, and governance
- Reporting automation and analytics enablement
- Insightready data delivery
What This Role Is Accountable For
- Single version of truth across MOR, dashboards, and decks
- Accurate MTD / QTD / YTD reporting with zero reconciliation issues
- Standard definitions, templates, and KPI logic
- Continuous reduction of manual effort through automation
- Reliable analytical packs to support business reviews
Key Stakeholders
FP&A Business Partner, IT / SAP / BI teams, Corporate Finance, Audit
What Success Looks Like
- MOR cycle time keeps reducing
- Minimal manual intervention and rework
- Leadership confidence in data accuracy and consistency
- FP&A bandwidth freed for analysis, not compilation
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timeliness and accuracy of MOR and dashboards
- Reduction in manual effort through automation
- Zero postcirculation reconciliation issues

Role 3: Audit internal & statutory
To independently manage internal and statutory audit coordination for resort operations, ensuring highquality financial schedules, robust analytical review, and smooth audit closure while strengthening balancesheet governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Statutory & Internal Audit Management
- Act as the single point of coordination for statutory and internal auditors for resort entities.
- Plan, manage, and track audit timelines, deliverables, and closure status.
- Ensure timely resolution of audit queries and implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
2. Audit Coordination with Clusters
- Coordinate with resort clusters and finance teams to collate data, schedules, and explanations required for audits.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of information shared with auditors.
- Drive discipline on timelines and quality across locations.
3. Analytical Review & Audit Support
- Perform analytical review of financial results (P&L and Balance Sheet) prior to submission to statutory auditors.
- Prepare and explain variance analysis, unusual movements, and key judgments to auditors.
- Support management in responding to audit observations with factbased explanations.
4. Balance Sheet & P&L Schedules
- Own preparation, review, and finalisation of:
- Balance Sheet schedules
- P&L supporting schedules
- Reconciliations and movement analyses
- Ensure schedules are auditready, welldocumented, and aligned with accounting policies.
5. Governance & Controls
- Strengthen financial controls, documentation standards, and audit readiness across resorts.
- Coordinate with Corporate Finance, Tax, and FP&A teams to ensure alignment.
- Support continuous improvement in audit processes and compliance discipline.

Qualifications & Experience
- CA / MBA preferred
- 15-20 years of experience in FP&A, MIS, or management reporting
- Strong exposure to SAP FI reporting and advanced Excel
- Exposure to BI tools (Power BI / Tableau) preferred
