Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field

Experience

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Network & Security operations
• Experience in BFSI / Payments / Fintech / Data Center environments
• Experience supporting 24x7 mission-critical production systems

Position Objective / Responsibilities

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise and data center networks that ensure high availability, performance, and security of payment applications and platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Network Design & Operations

• Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN networks
  • Manage data center and cloud network connectivity
  • Ensure high availability, redundancy, and failover mechanisms

2. Network Security

• Configure and manage Firewalls, WAF, Load Balancers, IPS/IDS
  • Implement secure network segmentation and access controls
  • Support PCI DSS, RBI, ISD, and internal security audits
  • Handle VAPT remediation related to network and perimeter security

3. Cloud & Hybrid Networking

• Manage network connectivity for AWS / Azure / Hybrid environments
  • Configure VPC/VNet, subnets, routing tables, NAT, VPN, Direct Connect
  • Secure APIs, application ingress/egress, and load balancing

4. Monitoring, Performance & Incident Management

• Monitor network performance, latency, bandwidth, and availability
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for network incidents
  • Participate in Major Incident Management (MIM) and DR drills

5. Change, Configuration & Capacity Management

• Plan and execute network changes following ITIL change management
  • Maintain network configurations, backups, and documentation
  • Perform capacity planning and bandwidth utilization analysis

6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with telecom providers, ISPs, OEMs, and security vendors
  • Manage SLAs, escalations, and vendor performance reviews
  • Work closely with application, infra, and InfoSec teams

Technical Skills

Candidate should have experience on below mentioned skills set:

• Routing & Switching: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, NAT
  • Firewalls: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point
  • Load Balancers: F5, Nginx, HAProxy
  • VPN: Site-to-Site, SSL VPN, IPsec
  • Monitoring tools: SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Grafana
  • Cloud Networking: AWS VPC, Azure VNet
