MS SQL Database Administrator L3

We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator (L3) with strong technical and team management skills. This role requires expertise in Always ON Availability Groups, Failover Clusters, and SQL performance optimization. In addition, the candidate will manage critical production incidents, lead a DBA team, and ensure high availability and reliability of enterprise databases.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Lead and manage a team of SQL DBAs to deliver database support effectively.



• Handle major incidents, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and communicate with clients.



• Configure and manage Always ON Availability Groups as well as Failover Clusters.



• Oversee transaction replication, log shipping, and linked server setups.



• Perform database installation, patching, hardening, and migration projects.



• Continuously monitor performance, logs, and database events to prevent downtime.



• Automate administrative tasks and maintain comprehensive documentation.



• Mentor L2 DBAs and guide them in troubleshooting critical production issues.

Must-Have Skills:-

• 6 10 years of experience as an MS SQL DBA.



• Expertise in Always ON, Failover Clusters, and high availability configurations.



• Strong ability to handle performance tuning and optimization.



• Solid experience in replication, log shipping, and linked servers.



• Proven team management and leadership in database environments.

Shift: Onsite Support (24 7)

Education:

• B .E./B.Tech/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics & Telecommunication (Civil/Mechanical not preferred)



• B.Sc. (IT)



• BCA or MCA (Full-time, from reputed university)



• No gap in education

Good-to-Have Skills:-

• Microsoft SQL Server certifications.



• Familiarity with banking/financial systems.



• Knowledge of automation tools for DBA tasks.
