Urgently required MECHANICAL DRAFTSMAN at Asangaon.

Position MECHANICAL DRAFTSMAN

Reporting to: MANAGER – ENGINEERING.

Job Location – Asangaon

Head Office – Wagale Estate,Thane.

(Candidate From Heat Exchanger, Pressure Vessels and Heavy fabrication only)

Experience – 3 to 5 Years

Budget – 5 Lpa

Qualifications

• Must have done min. Diploma in Mech. Engg. will be preferred.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Engineering industry especially in fabrication/machining related

or Piping industry

or Pressure Vessel & Heat Exchanger Industry or Valves/Couplers/Pump industries.

or Bearings industries.

• Must be conversant with various materials and standards used in the industry.
• Familiarity with ASME standards (e.g., ASME B31.3).
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work under project timelines
• Problem-solving mindset, Team-oriented approach

Requirements and skills:

• Must have experience with working on 3D software such as Inventor (Preferred), or Solidworks or both.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
• BOM generation and drawing documentation
• 2D drafting and GD&T fundamentals
• Proven work experience as a Drafter.
• Able to communicate in technical language.
• Should have knowledge of components used in piping and various materials used in Engineering industries & manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare 2D fabrication and GA drawings from 3D models.
• Generate detailed manufacturing drawings including:

- Dimensions, tolerances, and fits

- Weld details

- Bill of Materials (BOM)

- Surface finish and material specifications

• Ensure drawings comply with applicable standards (ISO, ASME, or project specifications).
• Performing calculations for materials and weights
• Coordinate with design engineers, production, and procurement teams.
• Maintain drawing revision control and documentation records.
• Support preparation of technical documents for fabrication and inspection.
• Assist in design validation and clash checking of assemblies.
• Prepare as-built drawings after FAT completion.
