Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to manage the financial, statutory, and compliance aspects of our philanthropic entities (Section 8 Company/Charitable Trusts). The role requires close coordination with CSR, Finance, and Company Secretarial teams to ensure smooth operations, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the Section 8 Company.
- Maintain timely and accurate Cash Flow Statement reconciled with Bank Statements.
- Provide end-to-end support to the CSR team for Finance related areas.
- Ensure timely release of payments with accurate accounting and applicable TDS.
- Regularly follow up on Utilization Certificates from the donees and statutory submissions
to various statutory authorities.
- Support Company Secretarial team in ROC compliances for Section 8 company.
- Prepare and provide inputs for Annual Report of Section 8 Company.
- Track and compute CSR spends in line with statutory requirements.
- File Income Tax Returns, Tax Audit Reports, TDS Returns, and GST Returns
- Coordinate and close statutory as well as internal audits on time.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory compliances applicable to Section 8 Companies/Trusts.
- Prepare MIS reports on a monthly basis and create management update presentations.
- Furnish details and documentation during Income Tax assessments.
- Support Tax Team as and when required for Income Tax compliances Experience in
developing event branding and collaterals.
- Working knowledge of video editing software and its applications.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Good English communication (verbal, written) skills are a must.
Preferred candidate profile
Strong understanding of accounting, taxation, and regulatory compliances for Charitable
Trusts / Section 8 Companies.
- Excellent knowledge of Income Tax, TDS, and GST provisions.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure timely deliverables.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Good English communication (verbal, written) skills are a must.
Experience:
- Minimum 25 years of post-qualification experience in finance, accounting, or taxation,
with exposure to non-profit/philanthropy sector preferred.
Qualification: Semi qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent
