Job Description

We are hiring for the position of Manager 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD) within the Statutory Audit Audit Quality & Risk (Q&R) function.

The 2LoD team plays a critical role in enhancing audit quality by providing real-time support, independent reviews, and coaching to engagement teams before audit opinions are signed, ensuring compliance with applicable auditing standards and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform independent in-depth reviews of significant risks and critical areas of audit engagements
• Ensure KAM-compliant audit documentation and engagement files
• Support and coach audit teams to enhance audit quality and consistency
• Drive efficiency in audit approach and execution
• Contribute to Q&R initiatives including audit milestone monitoring, MIS reporting, standardization, specialist coordination, and audit quality projects

Key Skills Required:
• Strong experience in Statutory Audit
• In-depth knowledge of Indian Standards on Auditing (SAs) and Key Audit Matters (KAM)
• Experience in audit file reviews, risk assessment, and audit documentation
• Good understanding of Ind AS and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical, drafting, and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ideal Candidate:
CA professionals from Big 4 or reputed CA firms with strong statutory audit experience, preferably at Manager/Assistant Manager level with exposure to audit quality, methodology, or engagement reviews.
