Job Description

Test Planning & Design

Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test scenarios for web and mobile applications in the fintech/insurtech domain.
Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to derive thorough test coverage including positive, negative, edge case, and boundary value scenarios.
Define entry and exit criteria for various testing phases including SIT, UAT, regression, and smoke testing.
Contribute to sprint planning by accurately estimating testing effort and identifying risks early in the development cycle.
Maintain and continuously improve the test case repository to ensure it remains current with evolving product features.

Manual Testing Execution

Execute end-to-end manual testing of core fintech modules: Loan Origination System (LOS), Loan Management System (LMS), insurance policy workflows, payment flows, KYC/ onboarding, and disbursement/repayment/closure journeys.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across multiple sprints and release cycles.
Test web applications across multiple browsers and environments, and validate mobile app builds on Android and iOS devices.
Validate critical financial calculations, data accuracy, business rule enforcement, and compliance-related flows.
Execute exploratory testing to uncover defects outside the scripted test coverage.

API Testing

Conduct thorough API testing using Postman to validate RESTful service endpoints, request/ response payloads, HTTP status codes, and error handling.
Test authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth2 and JWT token flows at the API layer.
Validate API contracts and ensure consistency between documented specifications and actual API behaviour.
Perform negative and boundary testing on API endpoints to identify edge case failures and security mishandlings.
Collaborate with backend developers to triage API defects and verify fixes.
