Job Description
Job Title: Lawyer International Trade & Import Export
Location: Mumbai

Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Lawyer with expertise in import-export, international trade laws, and contract drafting. The candidate will handle all legal aspects of global trade transactions, ensuring compliance and minimizing business risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, vet, and negotiate international trade agreements (FOB, CFR, CIF contracts)
- Handle import-export legal documentation and compliance
- Advise on FEMA, RBI, DGFT, and international trade laws
- Manage shipment-related legal issues, disputes, and claims
- Review Letters of Credit (LC), Bills of Lading, invoices, and shipping documents
- Provide legal guidance to procurement, sales, and EXIM teams
- Handle arbitration, dispute resolution, and legal notices
- Liaise with external advocates, consultants, and regulatory authorities
- Ensure companys global trade operations are legally compliant
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in international contract drafting
- In-depth knowledge of import-export laws and trade compliance
- Understanding of INCOTERMS, shipping documentation, and logistics
- Expertise in FEMA, RBI, DGFT regulations
- Strong negotiation and legal interpretation skills
- Ability to handle high-value commercial transactions
Qualification:
- LLB / LLM (Mandatory)
- Enrollment with Bar Council of India (Preferred)
Experience:
- 512 years experience in international trade / import-export legal
- Experience in trading, logistics, or manufacturing industry preferred
CTC:
- Negotiable (based on experience and expertise)
